Time Moves Fast

I heard someone once say that time moves faster as you get older. He mentioned this saying that we process time in terms of how much total time we have lived. Think about a 5-year-old having to wait a day for their birthday, and an 85-year-old. The five-year-old thinks it’s quite a large percent of his total time on earth, while to the 85-year-old’s percentage is much less so.

I say this because I’ve noticed just how fast in sometimes feels like time slips away. You blink and the day is done. I often wonder, how much faster at 79 can it feel than at 19? Time, in short, moves fast. Let’s hope you and I are faster.
