The most common form of suppression is the suppression of being. The suppression of people’s identities, of their emotions and of their inclinations. Suppression of their identities is key in creating an illusion of unity, or in stopping dissent. Suppression of emotion is even more useful, stopping someone from feeling— or more correctly, acting on a feeling— is a useful tool in stopping them from dissenting as well. Finally suppression of inclinations, of their desires, their wants and their drive, it almost like domesticating the wild animal. Eliminating one’s being, one’s value in being and one’s inclination to be is the easiest way to cause them to submit to an external entity.
Don’t let others take away your freedom to be.
Until next time,
